Dream JB, un grupo de la scene Jailbreak salido de la nada, anuncia en su sitio web que el próximo 22 de diciembre publicará una herramienta para hacer Jailbreak Untethered a todos los dispositivos equipados con iOS 6 o iOS 6.0.1: iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Mini, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 y iPod Touch 4G y superiores… WOW !!!

El próximo 22 de diciembre se celebra el sorteo de la Lotería de Navidad, pero este año puede que nos encontremos con otro premio, dirigido a la comunidad Jailbreak

El Dream JB independiente y desconocido hasta el momento ha anunciado que ese día publicará el primer método untethered para hacer Jailbreak a iOS 6. Hasta el momento nadie lo ha conseguido… Y por lo que comentaban los hackers en su última "quedada" no es algo sencillo, ni mucho menos.

En el sitio web de Dream JB podemos encontrar un listado de los dispositivos que serán compatibles con este supuesto Jailbreak Untethered:

• iPhone 3GS
• iPhone 4
• iPhone 4S
• iPhone 5
• iPad 2, iPad 3 y iPad 4 Retina
• iPad Mini
• iPod Touch 4G y superiores

Este Jailbreak hará uso de un exploit del tipo userland por lo que, en teoría, Apple podrá bloquearlo con un update de iOS 6.

Sobre la autenticidad de este Jailbreak 

El Chronic Dev Team tiene sus dudas acerca de la veracidad de este Jailbreak. Sin embargo, la gente de Dream JB publicó ayer en su site que publicarán un vídeo de todo el proceso de Jailbreak, con el fin de demostrar que es totalmente auténtico.

¿Qué pasará el día 22? Sería un buen regalo de Navidad, ¿no?

Who are you? Where did you come from?

My identity will remain an obscurity. I am not affiliated with any known dev team. This project is individual and solely run by me alone. I am here to show the world that the source of an exploit or jailbreak can be from outside the norm.

Why are you making people wait? Why a set release date?

I am a person, just like the rest of you. Outside of this I am a university student, currently in the middle of writing my final exams. I also run a business which I must tend to before working with anything Dream related. Though I do have my priorities, I do my best to keep you all in the loop with the timeline of events and the release.

I require proof! When will videos or any sort of proof be available? 

Proof will be released some time mid next week. The jailbreak procedure itself will be briefly explained, and I plan to have a video up at this time.

Is this a one-click jailbreak installer?

Update: To further clarify this point, preparation of the phone for the jailbreak involves a Webkit exploit. This however will not jailbreak your phone by itself. After preparation, the included application will continue the jailbreak process. 

Partially. This jailbreak is unique in the sense that it differs a bit from the other jailbreak solutions in the past. There will be a one-click phase of the jailbreak you will have to do, but there is preparation needed to prepare the phone for the jailbreak beforehand. Nonetheless, it is still very easy to do, and full instructions will be provided.

As this is a userland exploit, it will be patched quickly by Apple in future iOS versions.

What firmware do I have to be at in order to use Dream? 

You must have your iDevice running either iOS 6.0 or 6.0.1.

What do you mean by iPad (g2+), etc.? 

It's just referring to the generation. In simpler terms, any device that normally supports iOS 6.0/6.0.1 is supported by the jailbreak. A6 devices are supported. I hope this clears up confusion.

Will Apple TV be supported?

No, there is no support for Apple TV.

Will Cydia be included with the jailbreak?

Yes, Cydia will automatically install during the jailbreak procedure.

*new Can tweaks be installed from Cydia?

There are some current stability issues associated with Tweaks and Cydia. Cydia is usable to the most degree, but you will find that some tweaks may be unstable. It is best to wait for these to be updated for proper support before you attempt to use them. These updates will likely not take long.

*new Can my device be bricked by this jailbreak?

In the unlikely even that an error occurs during your jailbreak, you will always have the option to restore your device in iTunes and try again. Dream is a safe jailbreak method and will never render your device unusable.
